Job Context

• We hire Python Developers to join us as part of our growing team. Your experience in Python and related technologies will help to create and maintain an ever-growing product for the company. You should be an expert in Python web framework such as: Django, Flask, etc. This is a full-time position, working from home.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the analysis, design, development, documents and delivery of software solutions.
• Generates new code and corrects, converts, and/or modifies existing code to meet specifications.
• Apply software design patterns to solve business problems, articulate design choices & decision process.
• Prepares detailed specifications from which code will be written and confers with end-users to analyze specified methods and procedures, identify problems, and document specific requirements.
• Writes and updates technical documentation such as users manuals, product specifications, and training materials and also performs a variety of testing procedures on assigned products, analyzes test results, and corrects problems.
• This position also prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress and maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Familiarity with ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
• This person also participates in special projects as required.
• Help us make the transformation from a successful legacy product to a modern infrastructure ecosystem.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers evangelizing and driving best engineering practices, tools, process, etc.
• Mentoring and guiding other engineers to best software industry practices, tools and processes.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science
• B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science.
• Skills Required: Python Django, Python Programmer

Additional Requirements

• Must have 2+ years commercial Python experience.
• Ability to deliver clean, well-structured OOP code written in Python while following test-driven development practices.
• Proven development experience of RESTful APIs using a Python web framework such as: Django, Flask, etc.
• Proven track record of taking existing projects and refactoring/reengineering in line with modern best practice
• Experience working with ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django.
• Good understanding of SQL and proven experience of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in developing large server side applications and microservices.
• Proven track record of taking existing projects and refactoring/reengineering in line with modern best practice.
• Familiar with Git and building and setting up CI/CD workflows.
• Comfortable using Linux as well as Windows.
• B.Sc Computer Science.
• Must be proficient in working with distributed teams in virtual meeting rooms.
• Must provide own work environment: Windows machine, highspeed Internet, and a quiet work area at home.
• Fluency and excellent communication skills in English are a must in order to work both with clients and team members.
• Additional certifications are a plus but not required.
