Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Mentorship:
  • Design, develop, and deliver advanced undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Clinical Psychology, covering areas like psychopathology, psychological assessment, psychotherapy, research methods, and ethical practice.
  • Employ innovative pedagogical approaches, including case-based learning, role-playing, and supervision of clinical practice.
  • Supervise and mentor postgraduate students (e.g., MS, M.Phil., Ph.D.) in their clinical training, research projects, dissertations, and internships.
  • Provide expert academic advising and career guidance to students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and review within the department.
• Research & Scholarship:
  • Establish and lead an independent program of research in a specialized area of Clinical Psychology.
  • Secure external research funding through competitive grant applications.
  • Publish high-impact, peer-reviewed original research articles in national and international journals.
  • Present scholarly work at major scientific conferences and professional meetings.
  • Actively collaborate with colleagues within the department and across other disciplines on research initiatives.
  • Mentor junior faculty and students in research design, methodology, data analysis, and scientific writing.
• Clinical Practice & Supervision (if applicable/required):
  • Maintain an active clinical practice, providing evidence-based psychological assessment and psychotherapy to individuals, families, or groups, adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • Provide clinical supervision to postgraduate students in training, ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and services within the university's clinics or affiliated hospitals.
• Service & Administration:
  • Serve on departmental, institutional, and university-wide committees related to academic affairs, research, student welfare, and clinical services.
  • Contribute significantly to the strategic planning, governance, and administrative functions of the Department of Clinical Psychology.
  • Participate in professional organizations and contribute to the advancement of clinical psychology at national and international levels.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain licensure (if applicable), clinical competence, and stay abreast of new developments in the field.
