Job Responsibilities
1. Product Costing
• Calculate standard cost for each sheet size, thickness, and grade.
• Track raw material costs.
• calculate the conversion costs for each production line.
• Monitor utility and overhead allocations per production line.
• Update Bill of Materials (BoM) and Routing in the ERP system.
2. Inventory Valuation & Control
• Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventories.
• Perform monthly stock reconciliations and cycle counts.
• Valuate inventories using the weighted average method.
• Flag slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
3. Cost Variance Analysis
• Analyze actual vs standard cost variances for:
• Direct Materials
• Direct Labor
• Factory Overheads
• Investigate abnormal scrap rates or machine downtime costs.
• Recommend corrective actions with the production team.
4. Budgeting & Forecasting
• Assist in preparing manufacturing budgets (annual/monthly).
• Collaborate with production and procurement to estimate future cost trends.
• Track budget vs actual expenses and report deviations.
5. Production Efficiency Monitoring
• Track KPIs like cost per kg/sheet, machine efficiency, and yield rates.
• Support lean manufacturing and cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify cost drivers and areas for process improvement.
6. Cost Reporting
• Prepare cost of production reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Provide cost breakdown for different sheet specifications (e.g., UV-protected, colored, embossed).
• Support management with cost-related inputs for pricing decisions.
7. Support for Financial Reporting
• Coordinate with financial accountants for accurate:
• COGS calculation
• Closing entries for WIP and inventory
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards.The candidate must have 2-3 years of experience in the plastic manufacturing industry.
